Special Collections
When papers that belonged to an individual or organization are donated to the Archives, they are usually kept together, and the items form a "Special Collection." These document the lives of individuals and organizations. These are held in closed stacks but can be used by the public upon request. In addition to documents, other items may be found in Special Collections, including rare books, quilts, items of clothing, photographs, and other paraphernalia. Special Collections are materials that are of unique value to the study of South Georgia history and culture.
